Special Exhibition Train to mark Commonwealth Games 2010

Delhi set a new look to appraise the much awaited Common wealth Games 2010, and an special train was flagged off from Delhi on July 24 to mark the awareness of the XIX Commonwealth Games to the common man and women of India. This special exhibition train would offer the perfect knowledge base of the event and showcase the history of Commonwealth Games. This special train consists of 11 coaches out of which 5 of the coach’s exhibits the history of Commonwealth games, the most famous sportspersons in India and moreover its fully air conditioned which would be stationed for 3 days for local public to know more. The enthusiastic spectators worldwide and from the country too are also opting cheapest domestic flight tickets within India. Moreover with growing low fare airlines, a lot many options to choose the lowest air tickets for tourists to book for in any part of India.


In the run up for the Commonwealth Games which is scheduled from October 3rd to October 14th, it’s also considered Delhi would be the costliest CWG ever with an estimated budget of 17.5 billion dollars for overall infrastructural development of Delhi. Being a host city for CWG, Delhi is undergoing major face lift to build adequate infrastructure by 2010. The special CWG Express ensures the edition's of mascot 'Shera', Queens Baton Relay, Green Games Concept and the route of the baton. Journey of Queen’s Baton was started from Buckingham place on 29 October 2009 and so this fact is kept in the mind and displayed on this train too and would stop at 49 places all over the country and will return to Delhi on September 30.
